1938 First graduating class (this class produced four alumni)

1944 Pepperdine Alumni Association established

1945 Inaugural Issue of the Alumni Voice

1946 Alumni Association establishes Homecoming

1946 Alumni Day Dinner on campus helps celebrate Pepperdine’s 10th year

1954 The Alumni House was established on the original campus in Los Angeles. It was funded by alumni and dedicated during Alumni Day. It housed visiting alumni when they returned to campus.

1956 Alumni Scholarship Fund established. Oly Tegner, serving as the executive Secretary of the PUAA, played a key role in the Fund’s implementation.

1957 $1,000-a-year club established for alumni.

1958 Alumni produced a 35mm film entitled “21 Years” which told the history of Pepperdine College.  1st Alumni Recognition Banquet; “Alumnus of the Year” award presented.  Distinguished alumni now recognized at school commencement.

1970 1st Annual Alumni Family Day.

1978 SAA (Student Alumni Association) founded. First Alumni Phon-a-thon.

1980 Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner established.

1981 Final alumni reunion on the Los Angeles campus.

1982 Hollywood Bowl and Alumni Picnic established.

1995 Alumni Board presents “spirit flag” to cheerleaders/athletic teams.

1998 Alumni Room established in Jones Trophy Room in Heritage Hall on the Malibu Campus.  GPC Alumni Reunion on Vermont Campus.

2002 Completed Alumni Benefit insert in the Voice Alumni Magazine.

2003 First ever "Taste of L.A." picnic at the Hollywood Bowl event.  This picnic SOLD OUT in under a month and drew the President of the University to speak to the participants.

2004 Completed new Alumni Association promotional materials to hand out to every graduating student upon graduation.

2006 Founding of new Alumni Leadership Council with president Bob Clark, vice president Robert Katch, and regent liaison John Katch.

2008 Completed nationwide series of alumni visioning sessions.

2009 Waves of Service program approved providing new strategic direction to Alumni Affairs.

2009 Alumni Association celebrates its 65th Year at the Crescendo, the annual alumni dinner and show, which was relocated to the Malibu Campus.
