You are cordially invited to join Professor Gose and other alumni, parents, and friends for a reception and the first night of the "Santa Barbara Films in Focus Festival" featuring a screening of “To End all Wars” on April 14th, 2005. The reception will begin at 6:30 PM, with the screening to follow. Professor Gose as well as Jack Hafer, the producer and force behind the film, will be in attendance. The event is FREE to all attendees.
550 Seaver students showed up on a Sunday night on campus last year to see the film, “To End All Wars,” and they did it without academic or convocation credit…As an alumnus, you probably realize how otherwise unlikely that kind of attendance is. The strong “buzz” on campus was generated from Professor Gose having previously shown it to his film class. In his 25 years at Pepperdine, Gose says that he has not seen any other single experience have such an impact. That’s a large reason why Gose and Hafer created the Cinema in Focus Film Festival.
Please do not hesitate to contact Professor Gose at mgose@pepperdine.edu if you would like more information on this event. We hope to see you on April 14th for the screening and reception, but please also join us the other evenings of the festival as well!
