Recent Graduate FAQ's
All alumni can take advantage of our Lifetime Pepperdine E-mail Forwarding. As a recent graduate, however, you still have an active student e-mail account so you don't need to do anything right now.
You will eventually need to transition over to a new email account due to your student account deactivation, but do not need to do so until about 4 months after your graduation date. At that time, you will receive an e-mail from the Alumni Association with information on how to receive Lifetime Pepperdine E-mail Forwarding and begin utilizing all of our online services.
Graduation can be a time of unforeseen change, so we hope it is easy for you to keep in touch with friends, family, and career contacts using your current student e-mail address.

What happens if someone e-mails me at my old student address?
Once your student e-mail is disabled, you will no longer be able to receive e-mails at your student e-mail address. The sender will receive a bounce-back message that this account no longer exists. To ease your transition, click here to find more information in transferring the contents of your current student e-mail to a new, non-Pepperdine e-mail address. For a smooth transition, it is best to inform all your contacts of your new alumni e-mail address prior to your student box closing. Then, place an out-of-office message to inform new senders of your new e-mail address. This message will stay in place until your account is deleted. What happens to my student e-mail account if I don't set-up a Lifetime Alumni e-mail Forwarding address?
Student e-mail accounts become inactive after four months and deleted approximately one year after your graduation date whether or not you set up an alumni email forwarding address. All saved e-mail messages and contacts are deleted at that time.
You will receive e-mail alerts in the months prior to your account's scheduled deletion, so you will have plenty of time to request the change from student to alumni.
Six months have passed since my graduation - can I sign up for an alumni e-mail address now?
Yes, you can do so by signing on to PAN Online with your Wavenet credentials. Locate the E-mail Forwarding tab to sign up for a new address. After signing up for E-mail Forwarding, you can create a custom from-address in your outside email account so that you can send e-mails from the alumni email account. Instructions
