Letty Owings Center
2545 NE Flanders Street
Portland, OR 97232
Letty Owings Center is a Women's Residential Alcohol & Drug Treatment program. Today, you will build a Donation Closet by putting up shelves, building out the space, and sorting clothing and other goods for the closet.
Volunteers will arrive at 10 a.m. and will be given a tour of the facility. Volunteers are going to be reorganizing and cleaning out one of the large clothing closet areas in the basement of the facility by going through every cabinet and bin to determine what donations they have. You will inventory hygiene items, clothes, hats, and baby items, etc. All items need to be taken out of the closet and reorganized in a neat manner. Use your best judgment on what to keep or what to toss. Every item needs to be categorized and labeled for items to b easily accessible to clients to know what they have available to them.
