The Bartered Bride

A lovely village girl's fiancé supposedly renounces his love for her in exchange for money, while a wealthy landowner's plan to marry his son to the same girl backfires when a surprise from his past is revealed. Bedrich Smetana's comic opera features delightful, bubbling tunes and is sung in English.
