One of the most recognized artists of our time, trumpet player Wynton Marsalis cofounded the Jazz at Lincoln Center program in 1987 and since has composed several commissioned works for the program. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, comprising 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today, has been Lincoln Center's resident jazz orchestra for over 12 years.
