Graziadio School Celebrates Sign On for Excellence Initiative
By Nate Ethell ('08, MBA '13)
The Graziadio School of Business and Management concluded its Sign On for Excellence campaign initiative last fall, raising more than $500,000 for the Graziadio School's Dean's Excellence Fund and Presidents and Key Executives (PKE) Excellence Fund. The months-long campaign commemorated the 10-year anniversary of the Drescher Graduate Campus and the Graziadio School's academic, administrative, and conference complex—dedicated in fall 2003—as well as the decade milestone of the school's full-time MBA programs.
In January, donors, alumni, and friends were invited to celebrate the Sign On for Excellence campaign at a special gathering on the Drescher Graduate Campus. Honoring George Graziadio, his transformative endowment, and the faithful support of the Graziadio family, the event culminated with the unveiling of newly inscribed donor names on the fountain wall and bench that surround the life-size bronze statue of the school's namesake.
Funds raised from the Sign On for Excellence initiative will be used to sustain expenditures from the excellence funds. Recent projects supported by these two funds have included accreditation research, blended learning course development, strategic marketing and branding research, and recruitment efforts to enhance the student experience in the school's C-level MBA program. In total, original donors to the George Graziadio statue project and new donors to the Sign On for Excellence initiative have given nearly $3 million to support the Graziadio School.
