Club Sports: Men's Lacrosse
For over 25 years, men's lacrosse has enriched the athletic tradition at Pepperdine University. As a member of the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC), the team competes against various schools across the state of California, including UCLA, USC, Occidental and BIOLA. Ending the 2011 season on a five game winning streak, the Waves finished with a 5-4 overall record. This spring, the team welcomes Andrew Lucas in his inaugural season as head coach, as well as assistant coach, Lance Zimmerman. Led by senior captains Tony Davis and Max Biedermann, Pepperdine Men's Lacrosse hopes to be a strong contender for the SLC Championship in 2012.
Lacrosse season lasts 16 weeks, including playoffs (contingent on eligibility). Practices, scrimmages, and several home games will take place at Alumni Park throughout the season. Games will primarily be on the weekends and practice will be conducted on Monday and Thursday nights in the spring. Men's lacrosse is a student-run club and several leadership positions are available, even to new players.
The team is looking for committed members with all levels of experience who are eager to play in a competitve atmosphere. Requirements to compete with Pepperdine Men's Lacrosse are as follows:
-current enrollment at Pepperdine University (minimum of 12.0 units)
- 2.0 GPA or higher
