Pepperdine Women's Lacrosse competes as a sports club in the Campus Recreation Department. The team plays against other colleges & universities throughout the Western United States. Pepperdine belongs to the Western Women's Lacrosse League (WWLL) and the US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates (USL WDIA). All participants must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time students. Twenty four teams compete in the WWLL while vying for a spot in the conference championships at the end of April.

The winner of the WWLL championship earns an automatic bid to the WDIA National Championship Tournament in May. The WDIA National Championship Tournament is a 16 team tournament and provides the same opportunity for post-season play for college-club teams that the NCAA Lacrosse Championship Tournament does for varsity teams.
