Club Sports: Women's Water Polo
Welcome to the Women's Water Polo Club Team page!
If you're interested in joining our club here are some things you need to know about us:
Anyone with experience in swimming or water polo is welcome to join our team! Water polo is an exciting sport that takes a lot of strength, endurance, and skill so we start training from the basics and work our way up to becoming well-rounded players.
We typically practice three to four times a week during season, and although we understand that education does come first, we expect to have a group of girls that is dedicated to showing up regularly and on-time to practice. Water polo is a team sport and requires all members to be on the same page, which only happens when everyone is familiar with playing together. Our team is expected to playin three tournaments and we want to be prepared tocompete against other club teams at the top of our game.
Water polo is a non-stop sport that involves swimming, ball handling, offense, defense, communication, and strength so it is important to keep a well balanced diet and stay thoroughly hydrated in order to stay healthy throughout the season.
For those girls interested in water polo but have never tried it, we highly recommend coming out to practice and seeing if you like it. It is a great way to stay in shape, get a killer workout, and meet some amazing girls in the process.
For girls who have played before, our goal is to not only to expand your experience and knowledge in the sport but to also provide a team environment unique to anything you've experienced.
College can be overwhelming and unfamiliar at times, but thanks to this club team, girls can find a place to make genuine friendships, blow off some steam and get the workout of a lifetime.
