All classes listed below are Instructional and are not part of the Group Fitness program. Please register for instructional classes at the Campus Recreation office (HAWC).
Spring 2012 Schedule
Aikido
Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art characterized by dynamic movements, powerful throws, and pinning techniques. This modern form of self-defense does not block energy from an attack, but rather, blends it with harmony and control making it fun and accessible for people of all ages and sizes. This course will develop the mind, body and spirit while bringing awareness to Japanese culture.
Instructor: Mick Chambers Sensei, 5th degree black belt in Aikido and chief instructor of Calabasas Samurai Club
Location: Harilela International Tennis Stadium Fitness Studio
Session Details: Wednesday's, January 18 - April 25, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Cost: $8/class or $90 for the semester
Recreational Ballet
Recreational Ballet provides training for both the serious and recreational dancer alike. This class is designed to build confidence, discipline and concentration with a focus on technique.
Instructor: Rebecca Witjas
Location: Harilela International Tennis Stadium Fitness Studio
Session Details: Monday's, January 9 - April 23, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Cost: $20/class or $100 for the semester
