As a major sponsor, Pepperdine University has worked along side the Los Angeles Rescue Mission to host the 41st Annual Los Angeles’ Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, March 1, at 8 a.m. at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
In addition to Mayor, Eric Garcetti, and other city officials, the breakfast program will feature Scott Minerd, Global Chief Investment Officer of Guggenheim Partners. Mr. Minerd joined Guggenheim in 1998 and guides the firm’s investment strategies and oversees client accounts across a broad range of fixed income and equity securities. Previously Mr. Minerd was a Managing Director with Credit Suisse First Boston in charge of trading and risk management for the Fixed Income Credit Trading Group. He is a regularly featured guest and contributor to leading financial media outlets, including Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Bloomberg, and CNBC where he shares insights on today’s financial climate. Mr. Minerd holds a B.S. degree in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and has completed graduate work at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
