Description: Dormitory Parents for Girls Dorm The American Indian Christian Mission is looking for someone who is mission minded and likes to work with children. AICM has a boarding school for Apache and Navajo children (3rd- 7th grade for the 2014 - 2015 school year). It is located near Show Low Arizona in the beautiful White Mountains. Dormitory parents take care of students during the week (off during school hours & weekends). Minimum qualifications: high school diploma, at least 21 years of age and is a good Christian role model. Prefer someone that has some type of child care experience or has a degree in youth ministry, counseling etc, has CPR training and is active in a Christian Church or Church of Christ congregation. Applicants can be single or married, however this position is better suited for a husband and wife. Base salary is $14,000 per year (may offer more for a couple). Package includes housing, utilities, and food (equivalent to a salary of around $32,000). Individuals will have the opportunity to raise more support as a missionary if needed. Description: Missouri Street Church of Christ Youth Minister Congregational overview: Missouri Street Church of Christ is located in the growing community of Baytown, TX. Our membership includes an English speaking group of approximately 175 and a Spanish speaking group of 40. We are currently led by an eldership of three and served by a staff which includes a Preaching Minister, a Spanish Minister, a Secretary, and Youth Minister (vacant). Our church has a reputation for service in the community, most visibly embodied by our food pantry ministry which puts food into the hands of nearly 100 families of the community each week. There exists a wonderful opportunity to both grow our youth group in size, and improve the level of participation of current members. By youth group we mean both the traditional definition of grades 6-12 and other young people beyond those parameters. As a result, we are looking for a candidate who will be comfortable playing a lead role in developing and designing the major components of the ministry moving forward. This will require significant collaboration with church leaders, parents, young people, and the congregation at large. While this opportunity provides some freedom to design and implement programs and activities, there are some specific responsibilities including the following: 1. Provide leadership and assistance to the entire congregation but primarily to the elders and parents regarding the direction to be taken with the youth work at the Missouri Street church that would; a. This ministry is to promote growth in relationship with the Lord, relationships with one another and outreach to the lost. The purpose is to glorify God in word, worship and daily lives. Scope of Responsibility The Youth & Family Minister will work within the vision and mission of the North Garland church, under the direction of the Elders and through coordination with a ministry team (Y&F deacons, Y&F committee, volunteer adults, parents and teens).
