| Type: youth Salary: competitive Description: Argyle Church of Christ is a church of 350 members living within an 840 square mile area of the Jacksonville, FL community. We are looking for a youth minister with a heart for God, excited about connecting with our own youth and the youth of our community. We want someone that can teach our youth how to find a relationship with their creator and stay connected to Jesus throughout the years where so many important life decisions are being made. We want our children taught to love one another and to learn to love the people they come in contact with every day. To assist in this endeavor, we expect our candidate to have an authentic, vibrant relationship with Jesus, sound biblical preaching, ability to organize, coordinate, and delegate activities with the safety of our youth foremost in mind, and tireless energy for the hours spent at Bible camp, devos, camping trips, mission trips, and countless other activities we expect to fill the time of our youth. Auxiliary responsibilities include filling the pulpit on occasion, close relationships with the staff and the elders, communicating and coordinating with the parents, and giving the rest of the church opportunity to form relationships with our youth. We want to be assured that this servant has a strong, prayerful relationship and will share and encourage our children in prayer. |

| Type: Youth Minister Salary: Commensurate with experience Description: Position summary: The youth minister's primary responsibility is to oversee a holistic program of spiritual development for our church's young people starting in 7th through 12th grade. This program should help young people grow in their commitment to the vintage path of Jesus and His people. Key verses: "But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it, and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:14-15). "If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me" (Mark 8:34). Key thought: "Therefore we must prepare our hearts and our bodies to do battle under the holy obedience of His commands; and let us ask God that He be pleased to give us the help of His grace for anything which our nature finds hardly possible" (from Saint Benedict, Prologue to The Rule). Qualifications: 1.Church background - A person committed to the fellowship of Churches of Christ 2.Education - A degree preferably in youth ministry. Minimum of: a. Associate's degree with 4 years full-time Youth Ministry experience OR b. Build and maintain rapport with members and non-members. Responsibilities: Pulpit Preaching / Bible Class Instruction 1. Prepare sermons as the primary pulpit preacher sharing this responsibility at times with the elders or other selected members. 2. Present sermons on monthly themes as determined by leadership. 3. Preach and teach Bible class, presenting both topical and textual studies. L.I.F.E. Group (Loving; Involvement; Family; Evangelism) 1. These groups meet weekly throughout the county in host homes. There is a facilitator in each group. Typically, the study is based on the previous Sunday morning sermon. Questions and discussion points are provided by the sermon presenter. 2. The minister may or may not be a facilitator or host family. The coordination comes from another church member. Visitation / Outreach 1. As a new minister, a scheduled visit with each member-family would be encouraged. 2. Visit new members, new converts and individuals who are searching. 3. Be involved in and search out personal Bible studies. 4. Visit shut-ins and those who are ill. 5. Share visitation responsibility with elders and visitation committee members. Counselor 1. Be available to those who are grieving. 2. Offer pre-marital counseling. 3. Provide family and marriage counseling. 4. Referrals to professionals is always suggested and at times most wise. 5. Give a listening ear and comfort as needed. Office Hours / Personal Study Time / Access for members 1. Maintain a schedule for office hours that is made public to the members. 2. Use this time for prayer, study and lesson preparation, and work with church secretary, committee or ministry leaders, deacons and elders. | Type: Campus Minister Salary: Description: The University Christian Student Center (UCSC), sponsored by the University Church of Christ, is seeking to fill the open full-time campus minister position. The UCSC has a well-established 30-year heritage on the Murray State University campus and in the community. Murray State University, located in Murray, KY, has an enrollment of 10,000 students and is one of Kentucky regional universities maintaining a strong academic reputation. Murray (Calloway County), Kentucky has a population of about 37,000 and is 15 miles west of the Land-Between-the-Lakes National Recreation Area. QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS: A Bachelor's Degree in Bible, Ministry or a major that would be supportive of ministry (e.g., Counseling, Education) and/or Master's Degree in similar degree. A minimum of 3 years of campus ministry experience required (years of experience may be replaced with other ministry leadership and/or higher education experience). Applicant must be married and have counseling experience or knowledge of counseling resources and best practices. Strong Biblical knowledge is also required. In addition, proficiency in technology tools to connect with college students is required.
