To take full advantage of the technology resources available at Pepperdine University, students are encouraged to own a laptop that meets at least the minimum specifications in the following table. If you already own a computer and do not wish to purchase a new one at this time, you should ensure that it meets these minimum specifications. Students who do not own a computer that meets these specifications should upgrade or purchase a new laptop that meets the recommended specifications as listed below. BA Majors are required to own a laptop that meets at least the minimums listed above, along with Microsoft Office 2003 Professional. Apple computers do not qualify.

Natural Sciences Division
Seaver College

Students considering a degree for any Natural Science division program will be served equally well by an Apple or Windows laptop.  Windows recommended specs: see above.  Apple recommended specs: any MacBook Pro with 2GB RAM, 120GB hard drive, and SuperDrive.  Apple minimum specs: any MacBook with 1GB RAM, 120GB hard drive, and SuperDrive.  Students wishing to use Boot Camp or Parallels with Windows Vista: 256MB video RAM is recommended.
