Dr. Marv Dunphy Head Coach, Men's Volleyball

Coaching at the college level is not just about numbers; it is about developing men of character. So even after four national championships, a lifetime winning percentage of .800 (400-100), and a gold medal as Olympic head coach, Coach Dunphy's legacy is a tight-knit family of volleyball alumni with a 90% graduation rate.

His players and colleagues paid tribute in a video on Fox Sports. Click here to view the video.

Rick Marrs, Dean of Seaver College

Having been blessed by his 20 years of service to our community as a teacher, scholar, administrator, and preacher, Pepperdine University is pleased to announce Dr. Rick Marrs as the new dean of seaver college.

"Rick has a keen understanding of what makes a great Christian university. He knows our challenges and recognizes our opportunities. He is absolutely one of the hardest working persons on this campus, a man known for his integrity. I have no doubt that Dean Marrs will build on the great traditions established by the deans who precede him." —Pepperdine Provost, Dr. Darryl Tippens
