The Pepperdine Community congratulates Chancellor Emeritus Charles B. Runnels as the 32nd Annual Associates Dinner Honoree.
The first time the lively Texan gazed upon the rolling hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, he sensed a miracle might be possible. As a member of the site selection committee for George Pepperdine College in the late 1960s he envisioned a future for Pepperdine that was limitless, as wide open and expansive as the sea.
Today Pepperdine stands among the nation's highest ranked major universities living out a mission grounded in faith and the pursuit of excellence. The University congratulates Pepperdine's "chief friend raiser," Chancellor Emeritus Charlie Runnels, and his wife Amy Jo for their more than 40 years of devotion to Pepperdine.
