"Bethlehem Star Project" Creator, Frederick Larson, Explores the Science Behind the Nativity
Frederick Larson, creator of the Bethlehem Star Project, comes to Pepperdine on Wednesday, Dec. 9 to set aside the frenzy of Christmas shopping and bring the focus back to the essence of the holiday: the events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. He will share scientific evidence that the Star of Bethlehem proclaimed the birth and death of Jesus, beginning at 7 p.m. in Elkins Auditorium on the Malibu campus.
After becoming interested in the star of Bethlehem, Larson researched it thoroughly and made a documentary providing a scholarly debate about the authenticity and scientific likelihood of this integral part of the nativity story. The Star of Bethlehem, which was produced by Stepehen McEveety (producer of The Passion of the Christ), explores the mathematical laws governing the movements within our Solar System and the evidence of astronomical activity that occurred in line with the gospel accounts.
Larson practices intellectual property law and business law in College Station, Texas. For 14 years in Texas he taught "The Legal Environment of Business" at Texas A&M University. He earned his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in philosophy from the University of Southern California, and went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law Center.
