Graziadio School Sponsors Web 2.0 Workshop
The Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management is sponsoring a half-day workshop entitled "The Executive's Guide to Web 2.0" with expert Chris Rollyson, from 7 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, June 27, at the West Los Angeles campus.
The workshop, put on by the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) has been tremendously popular in the past, and was the highest-attended workshop in the history of Confab, IMC's annual conference for consulting firms. The object of the workshop is to teach business development on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter to reduce sales cycle and recruiting costs.
According to workshop facilitator Rollyson, Web 2.0 technology, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, reduces the cost of engaging the people who are most important to a business or career. The workshop promises to show attendees how to find and engage new clients, customers, business partners and key employees; boost revenue by creating and leveraging an expert network to better serve clients; increase innovation by tapping LinkedIn's qualified forums; and network into new jobs, director positions, and speaking engagements.
Designed for CEOs, sales and marketing executives, recruiters, human resources and organizational development directors, as well as entrepreneurs and business owners, the workshop is open to the public. Click here to register.
Rollyson is considered a marketing and technology pioneer with 20 years of experience in corporate strategy and innovation. As a consultant and marketing executive, he has had a leading role in launching such game-changers as: Java with Sun, e-business strategy with PwC Consulting, and SOA, Web services and architecture solutions with nVISIA and IBM. Currently he works with global companies and government agencies to
use disruptive technology for innovation. After two years of research, he launched the Social Network Roadmap and the Executive's Guide to LinkedIn in 2008 to enable aggressive adoption of Web 2.0 while mitigating risk.
