Professors Gary Cobb and Jane Ganske Perform "A Reformation Celebration: Music of the Reformation Tradition"

Professors Gary Cobb and Jane Ganske will perform an organ recital of music in the Reformation tradition on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in Malibu's Stauffer Chapel. The "Reformation Celebration" performance begins at 12 noon, with Grant Bryan accompanying Cobb and Ganske on the trombone. 

Cobb, a professor of music, has performed organ recitals internationally, including performances in Jerusalem, Florence, Prague, and Oxford. Locally, he has been the organist for the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Thousand Oaks United Methodist Church, and the Malibu Presbyterian Church. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists, as well as the Phi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. He earned his bachelor's degree in piano, a master's degree in music theory, and a Ph.D. in fine arts, from Texas Tech University.

Ganske is actually a professor of chemistry and received the title of Frank R. Seaver Professor in 2002. She was awarded a National Science Foundation Career Advancement Award, as well as a Pepperdine Voyage Grant, and the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation Grant in the Chemical Sciences. She earned both her bachelor's degree in chemistry and Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California, Davis.
