Frederick R. Weisman Museum Hosts Senior Student Art Exhibition Kaleidoscopic
The Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine will host the senior student art exhibition Kaleidoscopic from April 14 to 30, featuring paintings, sculptures, graphic design, and more by graduating students. An opening public reception for the exhibition will be held at the museum from 5 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 14.
Kaleidoscopic will feature works by eight artists who are graduating from Pepperdine's Seaver College in April with bachelor’s degrees in art: Lindsay Carron, Sunni Downing, Susie Lee, Hunter Montgomery, Miles Prowse, Amanda Sanchez, Ashly Welch, and Zineb Zebdi.
The senior exhibition allows graduates from the studio art program to present works highlighting their achievements. In Kaleidoscopic, the works explore the range of their creative imaginations in various media ranging from graphic design and painting to sculpture. The title refers to the diversity of their imagery and points of view.
The exhibition was organized by faculty advisor and Seaver College professor of art, Avery Falkner, in cooperation with Michael Zakian, director of the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art.
The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on Mondays and major holidays. There is no admission charge.
