Wedbush Securities Founder Ed Wedbush Continues Graziadio School’s Dean’s Executive Leadership Series
The Graziadio School of Business and Management's 2012-13 Dean's Executive Leadership Series (DELS) will continue Thursday, Jan. 10, with a lecture from Ed Wedbush, founder and president of Wedbush Securities. The event will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. before the lecture begins at 6:30 p.m., at the Villa Graziadio Executive Center, Malibu. Register online here.
In 1955, Wedbush and a childhood friend founded Wedbush Securities with first year revenues of $659. The growth of the company is an American entrepreneurial success story. Wedbush Securities is one of the largest securities firms and investment banks in the nation with more than 1,000 employees in over 100 offices. The company provides innovative financial solutions through its Private Client Services, Capital Markets, and Clearing & Execution divisions. Headquartered in Los Angeles, Webush provides customer care, financial security, continuity, and advanced technology.
Wedbush also currently holds membership positions on the Regional Firms Committee of SIFMA and Board of Trustees for University of Cincinnati Foundation. In 2004, he was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement in Entrepreneurship Award from the University of Cincinnati, and in 2006, was awarded Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for Greater Los Angeles.
Wedbush holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, a master of business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a honorary doctorate degree of commercial science from the University of Cincinnati.
The Dean's Executive Leadership Series brings leading business practitioners and thought leaders to one of Pepperdine University's campuses to discuss real-world challenges and opportunities facing the business community today.
