The Graziadio School of Business and Management, in partnership with Beacon Economics, will host the fourth annual "What's Next LA?" economic forecast conference Thursday, Jun. 21, at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott. This annual event is presented in partnership with Pepperdine's Presidential and Key Executive MBA program and attended by hundreds of business and public sector leaders from across the Los Angeles region.
The event will feature California's leading forecasters, including John Paglia,
associate professor of finance at the Graziadio School, who will deliver new outlooks for the national, state, and local economies. Topics discussed will include the issues surrounding Europe's growing crisis; the slide in the Dow; California's post-recession budget gaps; and Los Angeles' lagging economic recovery.
Following the forecast, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with some of the state's foremost corporate leaders, venture capitalists, and education professionals about the real condition of California's business climate.
