School of Law Hosts 2012 Commencement Ceremony

The School of Law will host its 2012 commencement ceremony Friday, May 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Alumni Park, Malibu. A graduation reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in Alumni Park for all attendees.

Three graduating students will participate in the ceremony: Chalak Richards will deliver the student address, Isaac Agyeman will play "The National Anthem" on the saxophone, and Michael Aurit will sing "God Bless America" as part of the benediction.

Also participating in the commencement exercises will be vice dean Tim Perrin, who will deliver the commencement address, and Laure Sudreau-Rippe (JD '97), the School of Law's 2012 Distinguished Alumna.

Perrin, president designate of Lubbock Christian University and soon-to-be former vice dean of Pepperdine School of Law, has dedicated over twenty years to the law school and will reflect on life and the school before he begins his new role.

Sudreau-Rippe, the first alumna to endow a chair at Pepperdine, received her certificate in Dispute Resolution from the law school in addition to her JD, and also received her MaƮtrise degree (JD) while living in France. Throughout her highly successful corporate legal career, she has advocated vigorously for people to give back to their communities.
