Center for Entertainment, Media, and Culture Screens "Trade of Innocents"

The Center for Entertainment, Media, and Culture (EMC), along with the international Justice Mission chapters of Seaver College and the School of Law, will host a screening of Trade of Innocents Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at Elkins Auditorium, Malibu. Convo credit is available for Seaver students.

The film, a dramatic thriller, is set against the backdrop of sex trafficking in Southeast Asia and stars Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino and Dermot Mulroney as a couple fighting for the freedom of girls and boys. Producer Jim Schmidt will be on hand as a special guest.

"We're amongst the first universities in America to screen Trade of Innocents, says EMC director Craig Detweiler. "I've known the producers for over a decade and they really put their faith in action, pulling together so many resources to tell this timely and compelling story."
