Graziadio School’s Entertainment and Finance Clubs Present Investment Executive Blaine Lourd

Lourd Capital Management creates custom investment strategies for a successful and select clientele—many of whom are in the entertainment industry. On Tuesday, Nov. 27, the Entertainment and Finance Clubs at the Graziadio School of Business and Management will host the president and CEO of Lourd, Blaine Lourd, for a speaker event starting at 5:15 p.m. in Room L1, Drescher Graduate Campus, Malibu.

Lourd has over 25 years of experience advising institutions and ultra-high net worth clients. He was recently profiled by author and investigative journalist Michael Lewis (The New New Thing, Moneyball) in a high-profile article titled, "The Evolution of an Investor."

The Entertainment Club brings together students interested in the media/entertainment industry. Members become familiarized and educated with the local entertainment industry through networking events with other Southern California MBA programs; entertainment professionals brought in to discuss different aspects of the industry (movies, TV, music, etc.); and industry networking events.

The Finance Club hosts speakers during informal lunch breaks to discuss topics such as real estate, investment banking, and private wealth management, and holds the annual ACG. Cup—an investment banking competition held among the USC, UCLA, and Pepperdine's MBA programs. The annual event is hosted by the Association for Corporate Growth® an organization composed of successful L.A.-based finance professionals.
