Center for the Arts Presents 3D Comedy and Juggling Show With Mark Nizer
International juggling champion Mark Nizer will bring his eye-popping “3D Comedy and Juggling Show” to Pepperdine’s Center for the Arts on Sunday, Oct. 14. The performance will begin at 2 p.m. in Smothers Theatre, Malibu. 3D glasses will be provided free of charge to audience members.
For Nizer, who sometimes plans his new tricks during hang-gliding excursions, the impossible is possible and the improbable is probable. Whether juggling four lasers at 1,000 rpm; juggling the dangerous combination of a 16-pound bowling ball, a lit propane torch, and a buzzing chainsaw; throwing Ping-Pong balls 20 feet in the air using only his mouth; or doing amazing things with ordinary toilet paper, he is changing the way people view the world.
Since winning the International Juggling Championships in 1990, he has taken his one-man show to thousands of venues around the world, including the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, the Improv, the Comedy Store, Walt Disney World, numerous college campuses, and all of the major cruise lines.
He has also performed in opera houses, civic centers, festivals, and performing arts centers, including the Kennedy Center and four times at Lincoln Center.
Tickets are available now through the Smothers Theatre Box Office at (310) 506-4522, as well as through Ticketmaster at (800) 982-2787. For more information, visit the Center for the Arts website.
