Center for the Arts Hosts All-Star Improv Show, “Whose Live Anyway?”
The Center for the Arts at Pepperdine will present a night of all-star improv in "Whose Live Anyway?" with two shows on Friday, Oct. 19 in Smothers Theatre, Malibu. The shows, at 7 and 9:30 p.m., will feature 90 minutes of improvised comedy and song based on audience suggestions, based on the Emmy-nominated television show, Whose Line Is It Anyway?
The show's stars, Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten, and Jeff B. Davis, are famed for their ability to improvise witty scenes and lyrics with astounding ease, leaving their audiences gasping with laughter.
Audience members are encouraged to bring suggestions and might even be asked to join the cast onstage for games, includes some of the games made famous on the original show, as well as some new ones.
Originally called "A Night of Improv," "Whose Live Anyway?" premiered in 1999 with two sold-out shows at Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Canada.
Following its initial success, Whose Line Is It Anyway? executive producer and star Stiles expanded the number of appearances of "Whose Live Anyway?" to include many major cities in the Western US and Canada.
Tickets, starting at $40 for the public and $10 for Pepperdine students, are available through the Smothers Theatre Box Office at (310) 506-4522. Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster at (800) 982-2787.
