The third annual Waves Weekend, which promises to be an action-packed weekend with fun for the whole family, will take place Friday to Sunday, Oct. 12 to 14, at various locations on Pepperdine's Malibu campus.

Visit the Waves Weekend website for a full schedule.

The series of events scheduled for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and extended family members of Pepperdine University will commence on Friday, Oct. 12, with a Celebration Chapel, a student-led devotional and time of worship, followed by a tour of the Frederick R. Weisman Museum's Pop Culture exhibit. The first day of festivities will conclude with Blue & Orange Madness, the popular student event packed with school spirit, featuring a variety of acts and entertainers, kicking off the men's and women's NCAA basketball seasons. Additionally, one student and one parent will each attempt a half-court shot for a year of free tuition.

The events continue on Saturday, Oct. 13, with various activities around the Malibu campus, featuring the discussion panel "For the Love of the Game," where past Olympians, including Pepperdine alumni Olympians, will discuss their involvement in the Games and their careers in amateur athletics. Later in the day, the Waves Weekend Festival will kick off with family fun, food trucks, the Spirit Cup Lip Sync, and more, capping off with a concert performance by singer songwriter Eric Hutchinson, who will perform with opening artist, Pepperdine alumnus Cazz Brindis ('10).

Finally, the weekend will close Sunday, Oct. 14, with the Waves Weekend Athletics Tailgate, where all are welcome to celebrate and cheer on Pepperdine Athletics. The first 300 fans will get a special edition Waves Weekend foam finger and the first 150 fans will get free food. Attendees can grab a voucher to get into the men's water polo or women's soccer game for free.
