Pepperdine Hosts Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony
Four of Pepperdine’s most renowned athletes will be inducted into the Pepperdine University Athletics Hall of Fame in a ceremony to be held Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hill, Calif.
Tickets are available ($60 per person, includes dinner) and can be purchased by contacting Jamil Macias at 310-506-4935 or jamil.macias@pepperdine.edu.
The inductees at the event will be Pepperdine coaching legend Tom Asbury (men's basketball), trailblazer Jennifer (Evans) Lilley (women's soccer), Major League veteran Dan Haren (baseball), and the school's all-time leading scorer in men's basketball Dan Suttle.

"The Hall of Fame ceremony is always one of our biggest and most important events of the year," director of Athletics Steve Potts said. "Pepperdine has such a remarkable athletic heritage and we always enjoy the opportunity to come together each fall and recognize some of the great coaches and student-athletes that have played such a large part in Pepperdine Athletics' success. This year's group is another outstanding example of that."
The Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 1980. This year's group will join 96 individuals and 14 teams that have already been enshrined.
To be eligible for induction, nominees must have competed, coached for, or rendered an extraordinary service to Pepperdine University Athletics. After a list of nominations was gathered, Pepperdine's Hall of Fame Committee made the decision on this year's inductees.
