Pepperdine’s MBA Challenge for Charity Group Hosts Ninth Annual Run the Waves Malibu 5K
The Graziadio School of Business and Management’s Pepperdine chapter of Challenge for Charity (C4C) will host their annual Run the Waves 5K and Kids Fun Run 1K on Saturday, Mar. 9, in support of C4C’s supported charities The Special Olympics, the Children’s Lifesaving Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica.
The race will begin at 9 a.m. at Zuma Beach, Malibu, and is open to all, including families, friends, and four-legged companions. The race is on a flat, paved course and all runners will receive a free t-shirt and goodie bag. All participants of the Kids Fun Run (age 12 and under) will receive a medal for completing the race. Register online here.
Pepperdine's MBA Challenge for Charity is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that draws on the talents, energy, and resources of MBA students to support various charities, fostering a lifelong commitment to community involvement and social responsibility.
When not raising money and studying for classes, students are tutoring children, refurbishing learning centers, and coaching Special Olympic athletes. Pepperdine's Graziadio School MBA students hope to continue the legacy established by the business school's benefactor, George L. Graziadio, of exhibiting steadfast commitment to philanthropy, volunteerism and the community.
