School of Law and Graduate School of Education and Psychology Celebrate 2013 Graduations

Pepperdine's School of Law and Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) will host commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18, respectively, at Alumni Park, Malibu. Ceremonies for the two schools at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology will take place at 10 a.m. (Education) and 2:30 p.m. (Psychology).

The School of Law will honor Gil Purcell (JD '83), senior trial partner at Brayton Purcell LLC and the premier asbestos trial lawyer, with the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Purcell will deliver the commencement address.

At GSEP's Education department ceremony, Ken Pargament, professor of psychology at Bowling Green State University, will receive an Honorary Degree.

Laura Skandera Trombley, the fifth president of Pitzer College, a noted Mark Twain scholar, and a nationally recognized champion of liberal arts education, will receive an Honorary Degree at the Psychology department ceremony.
