choir

The Pepperdine Choir and Orchestra will perform their annual Christmas concert Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. at Smothers Theatre, Malibu.

Directed by Ryan Board, the choir will perform an eclectic mix of seasonal tunes, including a Nigerian carol; "Hymn to the Virgin" in honor of the 100th anniversary of Benjamin Britten's birth; and a jazzy rendition of "Jingle Bells."

"It will be a lovely evening that is surely going to get everyone into the Christmas Spirit!" says Board.

The orchestra, led by Tony Cason, will perform Christmas classics, such as "I Saw Three Ships," "Away in a Manger," and "O Holy Night." The performance will end in an audience sing-a-long of "Silent Night," which will be accompanied by the choir and orchestra.

Tickets are $10 for the public and free for Pepperdine faculty, staff, or student with ID. For more information, contact the Center for the Arts Box Office at (310) 506-4522.
