"Digital Innovation @ Pepperdine" will take place Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Drescher Graduate Campus, Malibu.
Four chief information officers/information systems (IS) executives will share their digital innovation and IS management strategies and experiences, including the latest research on digital innovation from the MIT Sloan Center for Information Systems Research. Guests will have the opportunity to share best practices with speakers, panelists, and fellow attendees, and participate in networking opportunities with executives and professionals involved in managing digital innovation and IS.
Attendees will learn a comprehensive mix of business, technological, and managerial competencies needed to effectively manage digital innovation and IS in today's digital economy. Other topics will cover strategies used by successful information systems leaders to establish an innovative environment, tactics for best educating and nurturing technology and business stakeholders to foster and pursue digital innovation opportunities, and the similarities and differences in realizing digital innovation across various industries.
Speakers include Ken Venner, Chief Information Officer, SpaceX; Jeanne Holm, United States White House Evangelist, Data.gov, an open government flagship project; Allen Fazio, vice president of Global Business Technology Strategy, Disney Theme Parks & Resorts; Demetrios "Laz" Lazarikos, former chief information security officer, Sears; Venky Kulkarni, CIO and CDO, Medavie Blue Cross.
An alumni panel will feature Brooke Aguilar, vice president of Global Business Development, Fluid, Inc.; Sashi Edupunganti, director of Software Solutions, NBCUniversal; Ted Hooten, senior sales leader, Internap; and Pandora Ovanessian, vice president of Management Information Systems, Thermo Fischer Scientific.
