Danielle WilliamsMinister Danielle Williams

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series will feature minister Danielle Williams Wednesday, Apr. 2, at 7 p.m. on the West LA Graduate Campus.

In her lecture, titled "Sexual Assault and Trafficking's Effect on Mental Health and Education," Williams will discuss the impact sexual assault and human sex trafficking had on her mental health and education. She is the author of From Porn To The Pulpit, a tome that tells the tale of her journey to a life of preaching after following a darker path into pornography and prostitution. Williams is also the leader of "A New You Ministries," which exists to restore, regroup and refocus the youth and women in society to overcome the destruction of the streets, human sex trafficking, and domestic abuse.

Generously sponsored by Susan and Don Rice, the Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series brings leading agents of change to GSEP to discuss the challenges and opportunities in servant-leadership in communities across the world.

Created in 2010, the Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series helps support the GSEP mission of educating students to inspire lasting change in their communities and lead lives of service, purpose and leadership.
