Professor Weston's is co-author of casebooks on Arbitration and on Sports Law and has written numerous articles in the area of mediation, arbitration, sports law, and disability law. She is a frequent speaker at academic conferences on arbitration, mediation, and sports law.   She teaches courses in arbitration, mediation, negotiation, sports law, and ethical lawyering.  Prior to her current post at Pepperdine, Maureen Weston was a faculty member at University of Oklahoma, where she taught courses in civil procedure, pretrial litigation, alternative dispute resolution and disability law. Before teaching at Oklahoma, Weston worked for the Colorado law firms of Faegre & Benson, and Holme Roberts & Owen. Admitted to practice in Colorado, Weston is a member of the American Bar, Hispanic National Bar and Oklahoma Bar Association. She is actively involved with the ABA, Section on Dispute Resolution, has served as co-chair of the Section's Education Committee and as Chair of the Section's Representation in Mediation program promoting mediation advocacy experiences for law students. She has also served on the Board of the Southern California Mediation Association.  A selection of her authored papers are available here.
