Cynthia Colburn has participated in archaeological excavations in Italy, Greece, and Turkey. She has been honored with several grants and fellowships including the Harriet and Leon Pomerance Fellowship from the Archaeological Institute of America and the Packard Humanities Institute Fellowship from the American Academy of Rome.

Colburn teaches courses on the history of western, ancient, classical, early Christian, Medieval,and Renaissance art. She received her doctorate in art history from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a member of the Archaeological Institute of America, American Schools of Oriental Research, and Art Historians of Southern California.

John Wilson has extensive experience as a field archaeologist and as a writer and lecturer on Archaeology in the Middle East, particularly of the relationship of Archaeology and Christianity and New Testament Archaeology. He has lectured in numerous universities under the sponsorship of the American Institute of Archaeology as well as such institutions as the Biblical Archaeology Society, the British Museum in London and Oxford University. He also has extensive experience with media, especially television, having appeared numerous times on networks such as the History Channel, A & E, Discovery, etc. He has also written and produced television programs dealing with religion and history. He is Professor of Religion, Emeritus, at Pepperdine University, where he directed the Institute for the Study of Archaeology and Religion. He was the Dean of Seaver College of Arts, Letters and Sciences at Pepperdine for 15 years, and a Professor of Religious Studies at Missouri State University for many years. Wilson's publications include the definitive work on a site where he dug, Caesarea Philippi: Banias, the Lost City of Pan, a widely used textbook, Religion: A Preface, and numerous scholarly articles.
