Paul J. Contino is the editor (with Maire Mullins) of Christianity and Literature and has co-edited and introduced a book with Susan Felch entitled, Bakhtin and Religion: A Feeling for Faith. Contino has published essays on writers such as Zhuangzi, Dante, Dostoevsky, Flannery O'Connor, Andre Dubus, and Tobias Wolff. In 2006, Contino was awarded the Howard A. White Award for Excellence in Teaching at Pepperdine, and has won several other teaching awards including the Valparaiso University Caterpillar Award for Excellence in Teaching.
