Stella Erbes regularly presents and writes on topics such as teachers' needs and surviving the teaching profession. She has discussed the issues of teacher retention, recruitment, and training on KPCC's AirTalk with Larry Mantle and served as an expert panelist on the No Child Left Behind Act for Time Warner's Beyond the Beltway. In addition, Erbes has participated in conferences with the American Educational Research Association, the Association of Teacher Educators, the California Council on Teacher Education, and the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
Erbes is the recipient of the Seaver College Named Fellowship, the Dean's Summer Undergraduate Research Project Grant, and the Dean's Research Grant Award. Erbes received her master's degree in education and her doctorate in educational psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is bilingual in Spanish and English.
