Priscilla MacRae's research portfolio includes studies on the effects of exercise on the aging nervous system, motor skill acquisition across the life span and children's perception and attitudes regarding physical activity in elderly people
MacRae is on the editorial board of the Journal of Aging and Physical Activity and on the executive council of the Southwest Regional American College of Sports Medicine. She was honored as an American College of Sports Medicine fellow, and participated as a keynote speaker at the V World Congress on Physical Activity, Aging, and Sport. She received the Howard A. White Award for Teaching Excellence in 2005.
MacRae received her master's degree in exercise science from the University of Arizona and her doctorate in kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship from the University of Southern California.
