Restoration Quarterly, First Quarter, 2006 - Gary Selby, Seaver College associate communication professor, is published in the 2006 Restoration Quarterly. His essay titled "(Em)bodying the Faith: Baptism as Ritual Communication," is published in the most recent issue of Restoration Quarterly (First Quarter, 2006, pp. 1-10).

NBC's The Today Show, Feb. 7, 2006 – Elizabeth Whatley, director of Pepperdine University's Florence, Italy study abroad program joined Katie Couric on the Ponte Vecchio at Pepperdine's Florence, Italy campus for a live taping segment. The segment included Prof. Whatley giving the history of renaissance flag throwers in Florence, and teaching Couric how to twirl a flag.

The Honolulu Advertiser, Feb. 9, 2006 – Marv Dunphy, head coach of the men's volleyball team was featured in an article titled "Pepperdine Built on Strong Foundation," about his successful approach to volleyball, coaching and life in Malibu.
The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles, Feb. 10, 2006 – An upcoming panel discussion on the film Munich, co-hosted by the School of Public Policy and the Republican Jewish Council was featured in an arts section brief titled "7 days in the Arts."
Pasatiempo Magazine - Feb. 10, 2006 – Michael Zakian, director of Pepperdine University's Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art, was quoted in the article "Giving, Selling, Stealing, and Protecting O'Keeffe," in the weekly culture magazine of the Santa Fe New Mexican, about California painter Agnes Pelton's art who was a colleague of Georgia O'Keefe
