Philadelphia Inquirer, April 26, 2007 – Richard Cupp, associate dean for research and John W. Wade Professor of Law, wrote an op-ed titled “Emotional Distress and Loss of a Pet,” which describes how collecting damages in the wrongful death of an animal can have harmful consequences. KTLA, April 24-25, 2007 – Angela Hawken, assistant professor of economics and policy analysis, was featured in a news segment about her continuing work on Prop 36, a California drug rehabilitation plan which Hawken’s recent studies show helps 13,000 people annually and saves the government approximately $173 million.

NCAA Sports.com, April 19, 2007 – Seaver College junior and Waves volleyball player Jonathan Winder was mentioned for his role in the men’s volleyball team’s successful season and for earning MPSF player of the year. Fellow volleyball player and Seaver sophomore Paul Carroll was noted for earning national player of the week honors. Jahshan, executive director of the Washington, D.C. internship program, was interviewed on this Egyptian evening news program about the ongoing legislative attempts in the U.S. Congress to set a timetable for the exit of American troops from Iraq. Jahshan appeared on Al-Jazeera for a related discussion on March 22.
