The Christian Chronicle, July 2007 – A pamphlet titled That's Why We Sing, written by Pepperdine provost Darryl Tippens, was reviewed in an article titled "That's Why We Sing: We Can Revitalize A Cappella Worship," which also mentions Pepperdine's recent Ascending Voice symposium. Read the review.

Malibu Times, June 20, 2007 – Lee Kats, associate provost for research and Frank R. Seaver Chair in Natural Science, and Monica Loeffler, assistant real estate manager, were quoted in an article titled "Mountain Lion Kills Deer on Pepperdine Campus," about recent mountain lion sightings on and near the Pepperdine Malibu campus. College Sports TV, June 19, 2007 – The 2006 NCAA Championship-winning Pepperdine men's tennis team was featured in an article about their recognition by President Bush at a White House Ceremony on June 18. Read the article. During the trip to Washington, D.C., the team also conducted a free tennis clinic local youths, which was described in an article on the United States Tennis Association Web site.

Financial Times, June 18, 2007 – The Graziadio School of Business and Management was noted for launching a master's in finance degree in 2008 in an article titled "The Must-Have Degree," about the increasing need for an advanced degree in finance to excel in the business world. MSNBC, June 18, 2007 – Doug Kmiec, Caruso Family Chair in Constitutional Law, was quoted in an article titled "Roberts, Alito Help Define New Supreme Court," which described how Bush appointees Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito have influenced the Supreme Court's decisions this year, especially through the alignment of Roberts and Justice Kennedy. KCBS, June 17, 2007 – Rick Leach, director of facilities management and planning, was featured in an In the Garden segment that explained the revegetation project underway on the Pepperdine Drescher Graduate Campus in Malibu. Several Pepperdine landscape workers also appeared in the program.

The Miami Herald, June 17, 2007 – Doug Kmiec, Caruso Family Chair in Constitutional Law, was quoted in an article titled "Judicial View of Detainees Still Evolving," which discusses the ongoing debate between the president and the courts on the rights possessed by individual civilians detained as enemy combatants.

FamilySecurityMatters.org, June 16, 2007 – The Villa Graziadio and Pepperdine University were mentioned in an article titled "Islam's Rise in Europe: Will it Be Our Fate?" which describes what was discussed at the recent conference held at Pepperdine on the threat of Islamic fundamentalism. PBS, June 14, 2007 – Doug Kmiec, Caruso Family Chair in Constitutional Law, appeared on a segment titled "Judge Denies Libby Request to Delay Prison Term," in which he was interviewed by Judy Woodruff alongside lead Enron prosecutor John Hueston in discussing the 30-month prison sentence of Lewis "Scooter" Libby. Santa Monica Mirror, June 14, 2007 – Recent School of Public Policy graduate Joseph Smith wrote an op-ed titled "Oceans Were the First Form of Rapid Transit," in which he considers the implementation of a new alternative for public transit/freeway travel along local coastal routes: high speed passenger ferries linking the counties of Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara. New York Times, June 10, 2007 – In a roundup article titled "With Iraq War as a Backdrop, Speakers Reflect on the Future," the speech delivered by First Lady Laura Bush at the 2007 Seaver College Commencement was featured alongside segments from more than a dozen other commencement addresses delivered nationwide this year. Ventura County Star, June 7, 2007 – A Pepperdine University study conducted about the economic impact of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza is relied on in an article titled "Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Fuels Economic Engine," about the cultural and economic benefits to the surrounding community that are generated by the plaza. Philadelphia Inquirer, June 10, 2007 – Doug Kmiec, Caruso Family Chair in Constitutional Law, was quoted in an article titled "Plans for Terror Trials Expected to Proceed," which discusses the Pentagon's plans for military war-crime trials at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in order to prosecute the terrorists who planned the September 11 attacks. May/June 2007 – The speech delivered by First Lady Laura Bush at the 2007 Seaver College Graduation was featured in multiple print and television news outlets including NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, KTLA, Los Angeles Times, Christian Science Monitor, and local NBC, CBS, and ABC affiliates.

Los Angeles Business Journal, June 3, 2007 – Jennifer Carter, MBA candidate at the Graziadio School of Business and Management, was quoted in an article titled "If You Were Rich," in which she said that if she suddenly came into a large sum of money, contributions to worthy philanthropic causes would rank high on her priority list.

Moorpark Acorn, June 1, 2007 – Seaver College sophomore and Waves baseball player Brett Hunter was featured in an article titled "Hunter a Valuable Commodity for Pepperdine," which describes his career to date with the Pepperdine baseball team. Read the article.

May 2007 - The School of Law was noted in many national and local news outlets as host of the May 14 to May 23 public arbitration hearing between the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and Floyd Landis, 2006 winner of the Tour de France. Some of those new outlets include: The Sacramento Bee, Malibu Surfside News, New York Times, Associated Press, Reuters, and Daily News.

Washington Times, May 25, 2007 – Douglas Kmiec, Caruso Family Chair in Constitutional Law, was quoted in an article titled "Senate Gives Gonzales a Reprieve Until After the Break," about a scheduled vote of "no confidence" in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales which Senate Democrats decided to postpone until mid-June.

Townhall.com, May 24, 2007 – David Davenport, Distinguished Professor of Public Policy, contributed an audio segment for Daily Commentary titled "Fred Thompson, Federalist," in which he approves of the Federalist mentality of Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson. Listen to the segment.
