The Journal of the American Medical Association, Aug. 5, 2009 - Angela Hawken, associate professor of public policy, was mentioned in an article titled, "Mexican Drug Violence Intertwined With U.S. Demand for Illegal Drugs," which highlighted her randomized trial of the substance abuse prevention program, Hawaii's Opportunity Probation with Enforcement (HOPE).
