San Francisco Chronicle, Feb. 7, 2010 – Gordon Lloyd, professor of public policy, co-authored an article titled, "The Misguided Race to Federalize Education," with former Pepperdine President David Davenport. The article explores the issues surrounding government-run education. Read the article.

Church Executive, Feb. 5, 2010 – Kent Rhodes, visiting professor at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, was quoted in an article titled, "Church Life Can Be Messy When Family Members Have a Hand in the Action and a Hand Out for a Paycheck," in which he commented on the possible negative consequences of family members working together in a church. Ventura County Star, Feb. 3, 2010 – The School of Law was the subject of an article titled, "Justice Kennedy Injects Humor at Pepperdine Event," for hosting Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy as the speaker of the annual William French Smith Memorial Lecture on February 3. Read the article. Justice Kennedy's visit to campus was also mentioned in a Philadelphia Inquirer article on February 5, titled, "Thomas Criticizes the Criticism of Supreme Court," and in the Wall Street Journal's Law Blog on February 4.

The Christian Chronicle, February 2010 – Greg Lee, president of the Student Government Association, was quoted in an article titled, "Christian Students Join Forces to Help Haiti," citing Christian beliefs as a call to help Haiti following the devastating earthquake. Read the article.

Ventura County Star, Jan. 30, 2010 – Stephen Davis, Distinguished Professor of Biology, was the subject of an article titled, "Frequent Fires Don't Let Native Plants Recover," exploring his research into how fires in Southern California affect local plant life. Read the article.

Ventura County Star, Jan. 27, 2010 – The Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine was the subject of an article titled, "Ventura Schools Superintendent Honored by Pepperdine Grad School," about GSEP naming Ventura County schools superintendent Trudy Tuttle Arriaga as the 2010 Superintendent of the Year.
