Pepperdine Received Three CASE Awards and Presented at Conference

Recently, Pepperdine's University Communications department won three 2006 CASE Awards and Matt Midura, University Communications executive director and Ed Wheeler, University Communications web and multimedia services director, presented at the 2006 CASE Conference in downtown Los Angeles on Dec. 7 through 9. Wileen Wong, associate director of Public Relations and News, also participated in the 2006 CASE Conference as a panelist for the advancement keynote panel in the New Advancement Professionals Workshop.
Pepperdine's University Communications department won three 2006 CASE District VII Awards for Excellence in the categories of campus video production, student recruitment publication, and special print materials. The department won the silver medal in the category of campus video production for the 2006 Seaver College admissions video; the silver medal in the category of student recruitment publications for the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) viewbook; and the gold medal in the category of special print materials for the GSEP 35th anniversary invitation.
In addition, the department presented at the CASE Conference on the topic of "Leveraging the Web: Pepperdine’s Web Unification Project". The presentation summarized Pepperdine's Web unification process and highlighted the lessons learned from the initiative. The presentation also showcased several of the new integrated marketing and communications initiatives that University Communications has developed with the schools.
