With the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's (MPSF) top seed sewn up, the No. 1 Pepperdine men’s volleyball team kept their winning streak alive with a 3-0 (30-25, 30-28, 30-25) victory over the No. 8 Cal State Northridge Matadors in Malibu's Firestone Fieldhouse on Apr. 12.

Pepperdine set the conference record for wins with 21 in the regular season finale on Apr. 14 against UC Santa Barbara. In their last home game of the season, the Waves honored their seven graduating seniors prior to first serve in Firestone Fieldhouse.

Pepperdine will resume play with the MPSF semifinal match at home on Thursday, Apr. 26. Eight of the conference's 12 teams will battle in a single-elimination tournament with the champion earning the MPSF's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

Pepperdine earned the right to host the tournament's final three matches by winning the conference's regular season title, its fourth since 2002.

All-session ticket packages for the 2007 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Volleyball Tournament semifinal and final rounds may be purchased by calling (866) WAVE-TIX or through the Pepperdine athletic ticket office at the southwest corner of Firestone Fieldhouse on the Malibu campus.
