Pepperdine Coach Nick Rodionoff Named Featured Artist at Malibu Arts Festival

Nick Rodionoff

Nick Rodionoff, head coach of the Pepperdine women's swimming and diving team, was selected as the featured artist at the 36th Annual Malibu Arts Festival. A Malibu resident for 34 years, Rodionoff photographs sunsets, seascapes, landscapes, wildlife, and the mesmerizing Malibu surf. His work has appeared in Outdoor Photographer, Surfer, and Los Angeles magazines, as well as the book Malibu: California's Most Famous Seaside Community, authored by longtime Malibu resident Marian Hall.

Rodionoff was excited about the recognition and the event. "I always look forward to doing the Malibu Arts Festival because it is one of the few times when the community gets together. It's sort of like a yearly reunion. I was a spectator at the very first art show, which at that time was locals only. I have happily participated in every show since then."

36th Annual Malibu Arts Festival

The Malibu Arts Festival took place on July 28 and 29 at the Malibu Civic Center. The festival featured award-winning painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, and other unique artisans, as well as musical performances, the Children's Village, the Chamber Village-Business Expo, and the Food Village.

Pepperdine hosted a booth at the Chamber Village-Business Expo where representatives from the Graziadio School of Business and Management, Seaver College, Athletics, Center for the Arts, Payson Library, and the Crest Associates Office highlighted many areas of the University.
