Hero's Journey Entrepreneurship Festival

Hero's Entrepreneurship Festival

Pepperdine University will host the Hero's Journey Entrepreneurship Festival on Saturday, Mar. 31, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the School of Law on Pepperdine's Malibu campus.

The festival aims to serve as a useful event for those looking to start or launch a venture.  By incorporating renaissance values and epic story ideals, the hero’s journey theme seeks to give both students and teachers the tools they need to turn their passions into professions by ultimately highlighting the opportunities to perform classical ideals in a contemporary context.

The day will feature many speakers including Disney producer/indie director Jonathan Flora, actress/producer Deborah Flora, bestselling author/screenwriter Skip Press, producer/writer Christopher Vogler, and CEO of Simutronics David Whatley. In addition, various panels will discuss such topics as arts and economics. There will also be a special discussion led by William Fay, executive producer of the recent feature film 300.  The festival will conclude at 8 p.m. with a live performance by the band Fishbone at the Malibu Inn.
