Graziadio School Hosted Kawanna Brown of Magic Johnson Enterprises

The Graziadio School of Business and Management (GSBM) hosted Kawanna Brown, managing partner and chief operating officer of Magic Johnson Enterprises, as the most recent featured speaker of the Dean's Executive Leadership Series (DELS). Brown spoke on May 22 at the Drescher Campus Auditorium in Malibu. 

Brown is responsible for the overall leadership of Magic Johnson Enterprises, which includes the Magic Johnson Foundation, Inc., and Johnson Development Corporation. She has played a critical role in partnering the company with top businesses such as Lincoln Mercury, Burger King, Cadbury Schweppes, and Mandalay Entertainment, and has been credited with making Johnson Enterprises the number one urban brand in America and a pioneer in business development in underserved communities. Brown is the recipient of The Network Journal's 40-Under-Forty Achievement Award and the University of Southern California Association Award for Distinguished Community Service.

The Dean’s Executive Leadership Series was created in Spring 2004 to help support the Graziadio School's mission to provide relevant business knowledge.

The series, held each fall and spring, brings leading business practitioners and thinkers to one of Pepperdine University’s Southern California campuses to discuss real-world challenges and opportunities facing the business community today.
