Pepperdine Copresents Radical Islam Discussion 

The Pepperdine University School of Public Policy, in conjunction with the Republican Jewish Coalition, will present an expert panel discussion on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. on Pepperdine University's Drescher Graduate Campus in Malibu. The discussion, titled "Radical Islam: The Struggle within the Islamic World," is open to the public and free of charge. 

The event seeks to create awareness and understanding within the Pepperdine and local communities about the Islam religion and the influences behind the radical Islam movement. A noted panel of experts will discuss how moderate Muslims can prevail over radical Islamists worldwide.

Panelists will include Frank Gaffney, founder and president of the Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C.; Robert G. Kaufman, professor at Pepperdine's School of Public Policy; Larry Greenfield, California director of the Republican Jewish Coalition; and Tawfik Hamid, former Islamic extremist with Jamma'a Islameia.
